Cash

Let your users deposit or withdraw cash at physical locations across Mexico. You create the operation, your user completes it at a location with the reference number, and a webhook tells you when the status changes.

What you can do

• Create cash-in operations. Let users deposit money at physical locations.
• Create cash-out operations. Let users withdraw money at physical locations. Amount limits vary by location.
• Monitor operation status. Look up any operation by its reference.
• Receive webhooks. Get notified when an operation is paid, expires or is reversed.
• Track user limits. Each user can make up to 5 operations per day.

Key features

• Signed requests. Every API call is authenticated with an HMAC-SHA256 signature. Webhooks are signed too.
• Expiration windows. Cash-in operations expire after 3 days. Cash-out operations expire after 60 minutes by default, and you can configure a longer window.
• Tested webhooks. Your webhook endpoint is tested automatically and only activated if the test succeeds.

How it works

1. Get credentials. Monato’s customer success team creates your client and gives you an api_key and an api_secret.
2. Configure webhooks. Register the endpoint that will receive status updates.
3. Create operations. Create cash-in and cash-out operations and give your users the reference.
4. Monitor status. Handle webhooks and look up operations when you need to.
