Banks and institutions

Each product identifies banks in its own way. Direct Debit uses the fixed IDs below. Fincore uses bank IDs from its SPEI participant catalog.

Direct Debit institutions

These Mexican banking institutions are supported for direct debit. Use the ID in the instrument_bank field of charge request files, or in the bank field in API calls.

The OpenAPI Bank enum in the API reference spells Bankaool as mx_bankaaol and does not list mx_heybanco yet. The service accepts the IDs in the table above.

For mx_clabe instruments, including inline instruments on a charge, Monato works out the bank from the CLABE prefix and ignores any bank value you send. For mx_direct_debit_card instruments, send one of the IDs above in bank.

When you need the bank ID

The bank ID is required when the instrument type is mx_direct_debit_card. You do not need it for mx_clabe instruments, because the CLABE already encodes the bank.

Fincore SPEI participants

Fincore lists the banks and institutions in the SPEI network through Retrieve catalog of SPEI participants (GET /v1/banks). The list is paginated. Each entry has:

Field	Meaning
`id`	Bank UUID used by Fincore APIs, for example when you register an instrument.
`name`	Institution display name.
`token`	SPEI institution token.
`BIM`	Bank identifier in the SPEI participant catalog.
`code`	Full institution code used for SPEI routing.
`bank_status`	`ACTIVE` or `INACTIVE`.

Call it before you register destination instruments, so you have the bank IDs.
